Andorra la Vella sits at roughly 1,023 meters above sea level, nestled among steep Pyrenean peaks — this microstate between France and Spain impresses with dramatic mountain scenery packed into a small area and can be fully explored in just a few hours.

Grandvalira is one of the largest and most modern ski resorts in the Pyrenees, with over 200 kilometers of groomed slopes, numerous lifts and reliable snow at altitude — a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts across Europe, from beginners to experienced freeriders.

Andorra has been known for decades for tax-free shopping — electronics, perfume, spirits and branded clothing are often noticeably cheaper here than in neighboring France and Spain, drawing shopping tourists year after year.

December to March is excellent for skiing in Grandvalira thanks to reliable snow. June to September brings pleasant mountain weather without excessive heat, ideal for hiking in the Pyrenees.
