The nearest airports are Rimini (about 25 minutes away) and Bologna (about 1.5 hours). A comfortable scheduled bus runs directly from Rimini into the historic old town on Monte Titano.

Italian is San Marino's sole official language, closely related to the surrounding Italian-speaking region. English is well understood in hotels, restaurants and tourist facilities.
