Malta enjoys over 300 sunny days a year — ideal for a year-round getaway. Even in December, temperatures stay a pleasant 15–18°C under blue skies.

Maltese and English are official languages — Malta was a British colony. English is spoken perfectly everywhere, and German is often understood in tourist areas.

April–June and September–October: pleasantly warm (22–28°C), quieter. July–August very hot (35°C+) and busy. Winter is ideal for culture without the tourist crowds.

Mid-range: hotels 60–120 €, restaurants 12–20 €. Local bakery snacks and pastizzi (savory pastries) are very affordable. Diving courses are cheaper than in Western Europe.
