The UNESCO-protected Renaissance quarter of Vieux Lyon, at the foot of the Fourvière hill, forms one of the largest cohesive Renaissance ensembles in Europe, with colourful façades, the cathedral of Saint-Jean and countless traditional Lyonnais bouchons.
